The Ministry of Education will today, 27th August 2025, organize a 2025 Computerized School Placement System (CSSPS) Live Press Conference at exactly 14:00 GMT. The conference will take place at the Minister’s Conference Room at the Ministry.
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister for Education, his deputy Dr. Apaak, and the GES Director-General are expected to attend.
Key Issues to Be Addressed

The date for the release of the 2025 school placements. (It is highly possible that placements have been completed and may be released today as part of the conference proceedings.)

The expectations of the Ministry as parents, schools, and candidates prepare to report to school on 18th October 2025.

Statistics on the number of students who qualified to be placed.

Number of students placed.

Total number of qualified students who were not placed.

Students who qualify to use the self-placement module.

How to use the self-placement module, among other updates.
This year, school placement will be checked on the new CSSPS portal, accessible via the CSSPS Portal.
Ahead of the Press Conference, Note the Following

Not all students will be placed.

Many students will miss Category A schools.
-
Others will miss all five of their chosen schools.

Many students who chose boarding may be placed in one of the two day schools they chose.

Public school candidates will stand a better chance of being placed in Category A and B schools than their colleagues from private schools.
