The 2025 BECE results for candidates is expected to be released by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in the coming weeks. The release of the results will precede the release of 2025 BECE School Placements by the Ministry of Education on the CSSPS portal.
This portal can confirm that WAEC has completed marking of all 2025 BECE scripts for candidates in all the administered subjects.
WAEC is currently at the stage where it is inviting all candidates suspected to have engaged in any form of cheating during the examination. Already, WAEC has invited over 1400 candidates to its various regional offices. This invitation is part of efforts to start post-examination investigations into suspected mass cheating, among other things.

Once WAEC has completed the investigations, it will be set to release the results of the BECE.
Ahead of the release of the results, WAEC will activate and release for sale the 2025 BECE result checker cards.
Candidates, teachers, schools and parents will need these valid result checkers to check their results on the WAEC result portal.
When buying the result checker, be careful not to buy from fake dealers since you can easily be scammed.
Ahead of the release of the results, WAEC will begin to update the BECE result portal with the year 2025. Once the year 2025 begins to show on the portal, it is an indication that the processes commenced for the release of the results.
When the results are released, candidates will have to check them online and print them as well.
What is the BECE result grading system?
The BECE is graded by WAEC in a way that ensures candidates obtain between grades 1 and 9. The best grade is 1, while the worst is 9. For each grade, a student must obtain a raw score that falls within a given range for each subject.
The most common BECE grading is as follows:
- 75% – 100% (1): Excellent
- 70% – 74% (2): Very Good
- 65% – 69% (3): Good
- 60% – 64% (4): Credit
- 55% – 59% (5): Credit
- 50% – 54% (6): Credit
- 45% – 49% (7): Pass
- 40% – 44% (8): Pass
- 0% – 39% (9): Fail

How to check the results on the BECE results portal WAEC portal.
To view your results online, follow the steps below.
- Buy the BECE result checker
- Go to eresults.waecgh.org
- Enter your index number.
- Enter the exam year (“2025”)
- Choose the type of exam (BECE School or BECE Private)
- Enter the result checker PIN, and Serial Number.
- Click “Submit” to display your results immediately.
