Understanding the Mock’s Benchmark
For this mock, a pass mark was set at 70% (raw score) or a Grade of 4 within the BECE grading system (where Grade 1 is the highest and Grade 9 is the lowest). This benchmark helps us evaluate readiness and identify specific academic needs. The mock covered grade 7 to 8 topics with the aim of testing the foundation of candidates.

Overall Performance: A Tale of Two Halves
Our analysis reveals a clear divide in performance across subjects. We saw outstanding results in subjects that rely on strong foundational knowledge and comprehension. However, subjects requiring practical application, critical thinking, and technical skills presented more significant challenges.
