The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of 2025 private BECE candidates. According to WAEC “A total of 1,661 candidates, comprising 858 males and 803 females entered for the private Examination. The Examination was conducted at 15 centres across the country. Out of the total number, 33 candidates were absent.”

RELEASE OF PROVISIONAL RESULTS FOR THE BASIC EDUCATION CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (BECE) FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES, 2025
The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform its numerous stakeholders that it has released provisional results of candidates who sat for the BECE for Private Candidates, 2025. The results are available on the Council’s official website at www.waecgh.org for candidates to access them online.
STATISTICS
A total of 1,661 candidates, comprising 858 males and 803 females entered for the private Examination. The Examination was conducted at 15 centres across the country. Out of the total number, 33 candidates were absent.
EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES
The results of three candidates have been withheld for further investigations due to their involvement in cases of irregularity.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates whose results have been cancelled or withheld should visit https://myresult.waecgh.org and click on the withheld/cancelled button on the home page. They will be redirected to the irregularity and investigations page. The page will display reasons for withholding or cancelling the results. For withheld results, the candidates will receive information on the next line of action.
CAUTION
The Council wishes to caution all stakeholders to be wary of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee. Candidates are to note that WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated.
CONCLUSION
The Council expresses its appreciation to stakeholders especially the Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, the Security Agencies, Heads of Schools, Supervisors, Invigilators, Examiners and all who in diverse ways supported in the successful conduct of the examination and release of results.
