Information reaching BECEPrep is that the 2025 BECE results and placements have been released. The press release announcing the release emanated from the Ghana Education Service. To authenticate the release, the BECEPrep portal carried out investigations and found the following based on past BECE result announcements and events that take place ahead of the release.
2025 BECE Results Released: Facts Checked
- WAEC is the institution that examines and announces the BECE results through a press release. The GES only copies and shares the WAEC press release on its social media handles.
- WAEC does not release results without first releasing result checker cards ahead. In this case, result checkers have not been released, nor have sellers such as Education-News Consult started selling checkers.
- The released results had a heading without the exam type “BECE.” WAEC press releases on such results indicate exactly the examination type for which the result has been released.
- In the last 8 years, both the BECE results and school placements have never been released together. The result precedes the placement by at least 8 days and at most 20 days.

Based on the above checks, we can confirm that the announcement is fake and should be disregarded. The final checks by BECEPrep from the GES showed that the GES has declared the press release that announced the results release as FAKE.

PRESS RELEASE: RELEASE OF 2025 RESULTS AND PLACEMENTS
The Ghana Education Service announces to parents, students, and the general public that the 2025 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) for Senior High schools have recorded a few mistakes made by the students in the selection procedures which led to the failure of identifying their status of placement.
Out of the total number of 603,328 results received from WAEC, 451,997 candidates qualified to be placed. We have recorded a lot of examination malpractices in the ongoing marking which also led to the withheld and cancellation of some 19,898 papers.
