After the release of the 2025 BECE results, most candidates have started asking the one question that is on everyone lips, “when will the 2025 BECE school placements be out?”
With the official release of the 2025 BECE results, candidates will now be aiming to start their Senior High School journey. According to the Ghana Education Service (GES), the official date for the start of the 2025/26 academic year is October 18th 2025.
This official date is for all first year students (students now entering SHS) across the nation.
Before candidates can be able to go to school, the Ghana Education Service will have to place these candidates in the various schools they selected in terms of the aggregate and overall score.
The 2025 BECE School placements are released by the Ministry of Education on the official placement website.
When Will The School Placements Be Out?
The Ministry of Education annually announces the release of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
Traditionally, BECE school placements are released a few weeks after the release of the results. Also, at most, a period of one month is given to parents and guardians to prepare their wards for school.
From Education News Consult, the predicted date for the release of the 2025 BECE School Placements is from Tuesday 26th August 2025 to 5th September 2025.
How To Check 2025 BECE School Placements
1. Visit the Official Website: Click Here
2. Enter Details: Input the ten-digit index number followed by “25” (representing the year of completion). For instance, 123456789024.
3. Submit Information: Click “Submit” and wait for placement details to appear.
4. Proceed to Self-Placement: Students not placed automatically will be directed to the Self-Placement platform, where they can choose a school.
5. Print Necessary Documents: Once placement is confirmed, print the enrolment form, placement slip, and prospectus.
Candidates are to note that the checking of the placement is completely free and no one has to buy a checker.
