The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed all 2025 BECE graduates and their parents to visit the CSSPS portal from September 1 to September 8, 2025, to verify their school choice data ahead of placement.
The directive by the GES is aimed at ensuring that the right information sent by schools for all candidates is confirmed as accurate on the portal. Candidates who visit the portal will have to check if their gender, school codes, and programme codes on the placement portal are accurate.
“In order to reduce the errors associated with school placement, candidates will have the opportunity to review the entries they have made – gender, school code, programme code – online at www.csses.gov.gh.”
The GES Director-General, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, made this known at a media briefing on Wednesday, August 27, following the release of provisional results for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Errors in the data are expected to be corrected if any; however, the GES did not provide further information on how errors detected can be communicated for correction.
“In order to reduce the errors associated with school placement, candidates will have the opportunity to review the entries they have made – gender, school code, programme code – online at www.csses.gov.gh.” He stated.
He further revealed that GES will provide an explainer video to guide parents
“This will be supported by an explainer video to guide parents. This exercise is expected on the 1st of September and ends on the 8th of September. The actual placement exercise will commence on the 17th of September. Students are expected to report to campus and begin their studies between 18th and 20th October,” he stated.

Prof. Davis cautioned parents and candidates against making payments to secure placement in particular schools, stressing that the process will be fair, transparent, and merit-based.
