The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that from 27th August to 1st September, all 2025 BECE candidates can do a school choice confirmation on the CSSPS Portal. This will help parents and their wards to confirm the accuracy of the data on the portal.
At the time of releasing this news item, the BECEPrep team can confirm that the Ministry of Education has activated the portal for checking the school choices.
Ahead of the BECE, candidates chose five schools, which included two day schools. These school choices came with their programmes and accommodation preferences. The dates of birth of students were also captured as part of the 2025 BECE.
The above data have been uploaded onto the portal to enable candidates to confirm if
- Their dates of birth indicated on the school placement portal are correct.
- Their first to fifth choice schools on the portal are correct.
- The programmes in each school and the accommodation types are correct.
- The programme codes
This will help reduce the challenges associated with school placements every year in the past.
How to Check 2025 School Choices Now on CSSPS Portal
Log onto the portal at https://www.cssps.gov.gh/
Click on “Choice Confirmation”.ย
Enter your index number and add 25 to it if you sat the exam in 2025
Enter your date of birth correctly on the portal.
Click onย SIGN IN toย check the details uploaded on the portal for you.
If you try to log in to check and confirm the school choices and date of birth but you are not successful, try it later.
Students and parents are to note that, they CANNOT CHANGE SCHOOLS SELECTED ON THE PORTAL.

According to the Ministry of Education, the 2025 SHS/TVET placement will be merit-based and free from school placement fraud and placement buying that has rocked the process since 2020.
This year, only 15% of Category A school slots will be reserved for public school candidates instead of the usual 30% introduced by the previous government.
The system disadvantaged the best-performing private school candidates in the past.
Once you visit the portal to check and confirm the 2025 School Choice, ensure you check the date of birth as well because you will need both to check the placement from 17th September, 2025.
