During the 2025 school placement, parents, students and other stakeholders who have issues with their placements will use the helplines provided to contact the Free SHS secretariat for help.
What are the 2025 BECE School Placement Portal Helplines introduced by MoE?
In all, two helplines have been introduced. The are 054 154 8223/020 733 7515
What to do before contacting the CSSPS Support Centre Through the helpline
Parents and students who have issues with the released 2025 school placements will have to plan carefully what to say and how to say it before contacting the help centre. This will help them explain their challenge or issue well and get the desired results.
Before calling the 2025 BECE school placement helplines, ensure that you have the students name and index number well written.
Write down the issue clearly so that you can relay it to the help centre officer who will pick your call.
When you call, do not be angry since that will prevent you from clearly explaining the issue.
If it is about changing the school for valid reasons, have in mind at least three schools you may want to be considered for. Parents and students who call for this must know that, they will only be considered, if they truly merit the options, if there are still vacancies among others. The chances of not being placed in any of such schools you prefer is also high.
Keep trying if you are not successful with your call.
When will the 2025 School Placement Portal Go live?
The CSSPS portal will go live on 17th September 2025. From that date, all students who passed the BECE will be placed in one of the five schools they selected to be considered for. Students who pass the examination but are not placed automatically are expected to be given a second window of opportunity through the self placement module. This module will only be accessible to students if the MoE activates it as part of the portal.
Students who are automatically placed cannot make any changes on the portal unless they have genuine concerns.
